The following table provides
suggested feeding levels when applying MicroMac-30 (Zoea) and/or MicroMac-70 (Mysis/PL)
Diets. These levels may be modified, depending on the density of larvae and design
conditions of the hatchery. Use these diets with or without other supplemental feeds
and/or Artemia. Whenever implementing stand alone feeding programs with these
diets, appropriate feeding levels and water quality controls should be established
experimentally to suit your specific hatchery design. When MicroMac-30/70 is used in
conjunction with other diets, determine the reduced level amount of ABM diet so that
overfeeding of all combined diets is avoided. Best results in any larval rearing program
are achieved by frequent feedings of the diets throughout the day (low volume application
at each feeding, four to six times daily).
From stage Z1 or M3, sprinkle
diet on surface after mixing with SEAWATER.
After stage P1, sprinkle on
surface after mixing with FRESHWATER.
